Tambaram taluk
Tambaram taluk is a taluk of Kanchipuram district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters of the taluk is the town of Tambaram.
Population
According to the 2001 census, the taluk of Tambaram had a population of 979,085 with 500,575 males and 478,510 females. There were 956 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 87.11. The total number of households was 226,720.
